Nah… WLM is also used a lot…More than Gtalk
One of the main reason is that WLM was integrated into Windows. (Win XP etc..) but they have discontinued it now…
WLM is more popular…
Gtalk is also popular but WLM is even more…

have an account with them but havent used live messenger till now. I prefer using Gtalk n Skype most of the times
