MacBook at A Retailer

I’ve been planning for a long time to get a good laptop as my old lappy, which I am owning since last 4.5 years; Compaq Presario V600 got crashed and is not working any more. It was great rock-hard device, ask me, I’ve always taken lots of experiments on it, and even some tricks too, which I posted here later after testing. So, from last 2-3 months I’ve been searching for a good laptop, which I can ask my dad to get it for me.

My first choice was a net book, probably the HP Mini or the Dell Mini, I had even wasted lot my friends’ time to get a personal review about them, who owned it, but they didn’t seem me well, as I am a rock-hard computer user, who doesn’t need a device to blog only, but to enjoy and get entertained. So, I withdrew the idea of buying a Netbook, as Atom processor didn’t seem anything to me.

Today I went Nehru Place market, South Delhi to buy a new Keyboard for my Desktop, as the old keyboard keys were blocked. Nehru Place place is one of the best and largest Computer market in the whole Asia, so I thought if I am already here, why not to try some devices?

I’ve been always contemplating to get hands on Apple Mac, so I entered in the store so give it a try. And after using it for just five minutes, ask me I was just WOW! Here, are the top 20 reasons why I would love to get a MacBook:

Reasons I love MacBook:

1. Shiny OS: Today I learnt, MacBook is just not all about the laptop we buy, but also the software, which comes inbuilt it that also from the same manufacture, of which the hardware is so, just makes a perfect combination. Also, it’s not just about the shininess of the operating system, but also about the security it has; being on Unix, OSx Leopard has very less viruses as compared to Windows.
2. Sexy Mouse: If you would use the mouse, oops! I mean the track pad of Mac for the first time, you would be just WOW! Yes. The glossy so spacious touch track pad is the second best thing I loved in MacBook. What’s the best thing about it is the multiple touch support.
3. Glossy Screen: The NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor, would make you say WOW once more. The games that comes for Windows, look far more better being played on the Mac.
4. Webcam: The small little web cam is quite cool, which has an inbuilt microphone and the included iChat software, so now your video chatting becomes more cool than cooler
5. Almost no virus
6. looks pretty…the whitey looks of the MacBook is a killer.
7. almost every Windows software works

Well, some body has said right that countries like China and India may not be good at innovations, but they are sure at copying things. iPhone 4 fans may be aware of the Chinese fake model of iPhone, which was out in the market before the official launch of iPhone 4 by Apple. Somehow I’ve got my hands on the Chinese fake model and here I am sharing all about it.

First Look:
The first look of the phone was quite impressive and gave me a feel of the iPhone, but when I took it in my hand, all feel was gone. It had a resistive touchscreen, which looked completely useless to me after using Samsung Star, Samsung Wave and Galaxy 3 for almost 4 months. Also, the griping of phone and icons it had weren’t up to the mark for me. Especially, after using Android and Bada powered phones it seemed bit awkward to use.

The Body:

The body of the phone was made of local and cheap plastic, mostly the one, which is used in making toys *seriously*. It didn’t have a USB cable connection port, which is available in the original iPhone. It has a MicroSD slot though. You can insert the card and play your media *though the playing quality of the songs, videos and pictures too wasn’t as good if you compare the compare with iPhone 4*.

I removed the back cover. The battery was a lion battery, designed in the USA.

The Operating System:

I’d really appreciate the hard work of the Chinese engineers who were able make a ditto copy of the iOS, though as I said the quality wasn’t good, may be because the original iPhone has HD screen. What I loved about this iPhone was, it had a Bluetooth and MMS available

Some of the features of OS:

• Bluetooth & MMS option.
• Chat features, to send messages as in IM form.
• iCalendar
• and many other weird features…

Conclusion:

The phone is quite cool and worth buying *if you can’t afford the original Apple iPhone or would like to fool around your friends that your iPhone got a Bluetooth*. Hehehe. I’d give it 1.5 stars to the phone out of 5.

iPhones started their lives as a fashion statement. They were the indispensable accessory to social lives.
