OSI was casually surfing internet and found a great application which helps to automatically change desktop’s wallpaper on Windows Xp and Windows Vista. John’s Background Switcher is windows based application which automatically change your desktop’s wallpaper.

You can pick where you want to choose photos from using the buttons on the left, then specify the search criteria for the given mode. Additional fine-tuning options are available from the ‘More Settings’ dialog where you can tweak till you heart’s content.

You can also specify which pictures to choose from:

  • Individual pictures on your computer.
  • Folders containing pictures on your computer such as ‘My Pictures’.
  • Flickr photo sharing – selecting pictures by person, tags, sets or just plain random. You never know what you’re going to get next!
  • Phanfare web albums – keep up to date with your friends and family.
  • smugmug photo galleries – yours, your friends, anybody’s!
  • Picasa Web Albums – choose from specific albums or any search text.
  • Facebook – your friends photos on your desktop!
  • Yahoo! image search – the internet is your oyster!
  • Any Media RSS feed – choose pictures from sites like DeviantArtPhotobucketLOLCats and Zooomr amongst many others!

It can also convert any image to black and white and set it as your desktop background. It can even display a calender on your desktop. So if you want to automatically change your windows wallpaper then just download it from this page and enjoy! :)
