• Extract the RAR file and open ‘SuperOneClick.exe’ file.
• Switch off your mobile, connect it to computer via ORIGINAL USB, make sure USB DEBUGGING is turned on.
• Click on the ‘Root’ button

• Switch on your phone, when the application shows ‘ Wait for Device’.
• It will connect to phone.

• Once connected, the phone will get rooted automatically and the application will display a message that phone has been rooted.
• You may now unplug the USB and turn off USB debugging.

How-to –

Go to the Android Market App on your mobile, search for ‘easy tether’. You would see two versions of the App. The first one is EasyTether and second is EasyTether Lite. See, if you want to make your phone a wi-fi modem, then you would have to go for the first app, which is a paid one and if you’re ok with normal USB modem, then Lite version is quite ok and it’s free too.

Once downloaded and installed, run it and you would get the EasyTether Setup Wizard. Choose the Operating System you have and click on the ‘Next’ button.

Once done, it would ask to install drivers on your computer. Head over to this page and choose your Operating system and install them.

Once successfully installed, enable the USB debug mode in your mobile and remove the USB mode from the Mass Storage Settings. Samsung Mobile users would have to download another driver, which could be downloaded from here.

The WPA is a better choice as the WEP encryption is not as powerful. It is harder to break into a WPA encryption and it is now found built into many operating systems and all modems for wireless systems.
4. Make sure to restrict unnecessary traffic. Lot of wireless routers have built-in firewalls and you can configure the router so that only your approved incoming and outgoing traffic is allowed.
5. Change the default administrator password. Systems using the default passwords fall easy prey to hackers as they can be easily obtained. Make sure that you keep a password that cannot be easily guessed.
6. Make sure you take sufficient care to protect your computer. Make sure you have a good anti-virus and a personal firewall installed in your computer. Keep them updated at all times. Try and learn more about Wireless Network Security from various sources and keep yourself updated.

Seems something is seriously going wrong in Web these days. Since Twitter guys revealed the new version of Twitter out, it got attacked by cross site scripting. Due to some reasons we were not able to cover the news, but our friend Shivendu covered it on his blog, you can check it out – here. The error was something like that – whenever a user mouse hovered a link, it displayed a pop-up window, which would redirect to spam, porn sites. Though Twitter experts solved the problem within a half hour, but it created a bizarre buzz, not just among it’s users, but always among some News Channels.

Today, same repeated again, but this time on – Orkut. Just like Twitter, Orkut also introduced its new version just a week ago and today it got hit by an attack so-called, “Bom Sabado” which means “Good Saturday” in Portuguese. Well, there is no official news from Google’s side yet, but some popular Indian News channels like IBN Live covered it.

In last post we talked about three-free Web applications that won’t let anyone get bore and Falling Sand is one and best of them. It’s a great game to play if getting bore and the best thing about it is we can make (actually draw) anything just like we do Microsoft Paint.

Last night while playing it I felt that it could be easily used to create ‘Cool Effected’ images without any Photoshop work. I tried it myself, created an image of a boy frustrated by noise and even published it on Facebok profile. I got many good comments from my friends about the image so, found the trick worth sharing with others.

How to create?

Before getting started, you need to have an access to these:

• Online Image Editor tool.
• 7Capture, any other desktop capturing tool would work too.
• Falling Sand game (of course!)

Steps to create image:

• Visit Falling Sand’s home page.
• Draw any face, character or whatever you like to.

• Once you have downloaded 7Capture too, take a snapshot of the screen (I suggest you that to use it because it’s one of the best and gives a good revolution image, Although you can capture screen shot using ‘Print’ key and pasting it into Paint).
• Now it’s time to save the taken screen shot and upload it to Online Image Editor.
• After uploading to the editor, you have to first crop the main portion of the image so that your browser wouldn’t be visible and after that click on Edit -> Colors and click on the ‘Invert’ option. It will invert the image and give it a neat effect.

• That’s all! Your image is created. If you want to add text and other effects you can try the options available on the site.

A new facebook scam has started on facebook. It’s a video spam named Candid Camera prank! [HQ] has been circulating. Actually this is not a video and it links to an application which will take you to download a file named vlcplayer.exe (a software to play VIDEO & MP3 files) and running this will post this message on your friends’ wall. So it will keep spreading as the users keep on clicking on the scam link.

Here’s the message it displays on Facebook wall: Name, This is without doubt the sexiest video ever!. The length is shown to be 3:17.

When you click on the link, you will be taken to http://apps.facebook.com/nadq_sdas/, then it will ask to continue and says that your video player is out of date. It then brings to another page to download a file. Don’t click these links when you see these types on posts on your wall on your Friends’ wall. Simply remove these posts from your walls.

I personally tried this so that I can know how it worked, thankfully while downloading the file my anti virus deleted that file because it contained a virus. So now I know it contains virus…So guys stop clicking on such scam links and don’t download such files though precaution is the best policy.

If you have already clicked on the application and allowed access to that application you can go to application settings under your facebook settings and can remove access of that application.

The mobile phones addiction is increasing day by day, now we see a mobile in every second person’s hands. Don’t we? All are getting mobile geeks today may because of the effect of the “Idea’s ‘Save paper, use mobile’ advertisement or the Nokia’s new study” whatever the reason may be, like all of them I am too getting. Now the most important gadget in my life without which I can’t even live is my mobile – Sony Ericsson w910i. I was recently Playing with it during my trip to India recently. To escape my boredom and for a kind of Distraction or “Support”, depending on what you call.

Someone having advanced knowledge on mobile phones, not meaning technically, but about the model releases, etc. Must be knowing that a Sony Ericsson W910i/W595/W760 and maybe some more phones cannot use the Front Camera even though it is present, for making a Video or Taking a picture when there is no Video Call currently going on! So anyone as such must be Sony Ericsson have kept it disabled as not to be used when there is no video call going. I wonder what is the reason behind it, but it is not available.

When I was simply playing around the phone menu’s, I came across a set of Sub Menu that I never came across. Let me inform you that, I don’t use the Video Calling feature in my phone. So these set of menus were in the video call menu. In such a way that even a Video Calling user most probably might not have noticed as well.

So after some thinking I discovered that the Front Camera of W910i and other similar phones CAN take a Video Recording of around 30 seconds. There are some Cons in it. But anyway I say my phone can record video using its Front Camera when there is no Current Video Call going on even though SE says it as “Impossible”.

So here is what I did

• Go to “Contacts”
• Pick Any Contact and press “Options”
• Press “Make Video Call”
• On the “Video Call failed” dialog box, press “send Video msg”
• Behold ! now you can see yourself using the Front Camera
• Press the “record” button and record……
• After the Video has been recorded, save it and you will notice an MMS dialog box
• Close the MMS dialog box and “Save” it
• Now you can see the Video you recorded on your Memory Card or Phone Memory depending on your Basic Camera Settings (i.e. rear camera)
